Promotion
If your school is interested in helping promote the Parents as Career Coaches program to parents, please call the Department of Labour & Workforce Development at 902-424-4264 or pacc@gov.ns.ca to express interest. Programs are available in English and in French.
Here are some of the ways you can help us get the word out:
- Circulate the Parents as Career Coaches brochure to parents through school newsletters, report cards, parent-teacher and curriculum nights, etc.
- Parents can sign-up for programs on the PACC website
- Talk to your Student Advisory Councils about the Parents as Career Coaches program and ask them to help spread the word
- Link to www.parentsascareercoaches.ca from your school's website
By working with us, you can help equip parents with the practical tools and information they need to effectively guide and support their children as they make the transition to post-secondary education and training, as well as the workforce.
"It's important for parents and educators to work together
to show students what options are out there for them."
